Accommodations
There are many wonderful (and sometimes adventuresome) places to stay in the Westport area. Whatever's your pleasure, though, be sure to make reservations asap! Don't wait until Friday night to find a place to stay - Westport can be a hopping place on a good weekend and vacancies can fill up fast. Two great places to try are the Alaskan Motel (360/268-9133) and the Islander Hotel (360/268-9166).
If you're interested in camping out for the weekend, you can't go too wrong with the good ole Washington State Park facility at Twin Harbors State Park (360/268-9565). Park you car and tent and enjoy the splendor of the back dune communtity in the trees or traverse over the dunes to stroll on the beach. This state park is a favorite for families when the weather is good, so reservations are highly recommended!
One of the more interesting campgrounds is the Kila Hana Campground and RV Park. Cheap, and at least you can say you were there.
Group Camping - if you would like to carpool or camp (and make some new friends!) with other Chicks, please contact Jodi Mau with the Bellingham Surfrider Chapter at bhamsurfrider@aol.com.
